About the Author
Carlos Marchi was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1930. He was a member of the Cuban Revolutionary Army, and he fought in the Battle of Santa Clara. After the revolution, he worked as a journalist and a diplomat. He has written several novels, including All That Vast Sea of Freedom, which was published in 2009.
