About the Author

Thiago de Mello is a Brazilian poet, environmentalist, and human rights activist. He has written over 30 books of poetry, and his work has been translated into more than 20 languages. De Mello is a recipient of the Neustadt International Prize for Literature, and he is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters.
