About the Author

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the author of the novels Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun, and Americanah. She has also written the short story collection The Thing Around Your Neck. Adichie's work has been translated into more than thirty languages and has won numerous awards, including the Orange Prize for Fiction and the National Book Critics Circle Award. She is a MacArthur Fellow and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Adichie lives in Lagos, Nigeria.
