About the Author

Laerte is a Brazilian cartoonist, illustrator, and graphic novelist. She is best known for her work on the comic strip "Piratas do Tietê," which has been published in Brazil since 1976. Laerte has also published several graphic novels, including "The Poor Little Rich Girl" and "The White Donkey." She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Eisner Award for Best Graphic Novel in 2019.
